Hyundai and his KIA subsidiary have held hands with six Korean institutions to develop mobility solutions for the surface of the moon. Two car makers have not revealed exactly what kind of robot they made for the missionary mission in the future, but the focus is to challenge the hard conditions in one -the natural satellite of the earth. Interestingly, the artistic rendition shared by Hyundai suggested that the team would work on a four -legged robot of the companion as made by Boston Dynamics, which Hyundai now has. It should be noted here that Hyundai has mobilized Boston Dynamic’s place for factory patrols.

As part of Hyundai and Kia’s latest collaboration with the Research Institute, the Consultative Agency has been made which will make the plan begins in August. The core purpose is to “define the concept of mobile mobility of the moon exploration” and implement the operating plan based on the month, according to Hyundai. This project, which includes participation from private entities and government, will also function as a test to create a more efficient car solution for the earth, as well.

With partnerships, the company also tried to present itself as a candidate to develop robotics solutions and mobility for missions to the moon and surrounding areas in the near future. In an era where the privatization of space has become a hot keyword and even people like Nasa secure the services of private players like NASA, Hyundai’s ambition does not seem too made up.

Hyundai has more concepts in pipes

Hyundai and Kia’s partnerships should be noted, but this is not the first attempt of its type for the South Korean car brand. Earlier this month, the company presented Habitat One, a sustainable housing concept for carbon -free people in the future. The project imagines robots that turn into resting platforms when they detect nearby human movements, 3D print trees that release oxygen to the surrounding, and many other bio-digital concepts for environmentally friendly habitats.

In February 2021, Hyundai also showed off the concept of Ultimate Mobility Vehicle (UMV) called the X-1 intelligent ground excursion (Tiger) transforming, robot vehicles designed to provide cargo above extreme terrain. It has a unique foot and wheel drive system that offers a 360 degree direction control. Non-Crewed machines are targeted in areas that are hit by natural disasters, but can also be modified to explore the surface of the moon.

The company also has a similar concept in active development called Elevate, which is classified by Hyundai as “electric car with robot feet.” Also described as a walking car, the wheel was mounted on a multi-tendian foot inspired by people from grasshoppers who allowed it to climb, jump, and lift the water flowing above.
