Mozilla Firefox, a loved Source search software that has been loved, has gone through many iterations for years. The company was founded by a group of former netscape employees who united to release their first browser – Mozilla 1.0 – in 2002.

Initially called Phoenix 0.1 but must change its name because other companies have the same name. Users like the new Mozilla features such as bookmarking, tab search, and pipes, which allow users to download some images on the page quickly. Plus, internet browsers can block pop-up ads (via the New York Times).
In its heyday (around 2009), almost 32% of people prefer Mozilla as their choice browser. However, the company cannot maintain market share with the arrival of Google Chrome’s rival browser (via Techspot). Their popularity shrank afterwards, and they have not enjoyed the level of dominance they have ever done. At present, they have less than 4% of the market (through Oberlo).
This company is developing and even recently changed its official Firefox logo. In the past, it was not always a fox that could be recognized instantly, because the first logo was Phoenix. However, after the name changes mentioned earlier, the logo came out of the window, and vice versa, the company’s creator decided that the Red Panda would be his new image. The iconic Firefox name comes from one of the red panda nicknames, “Firefox.”
Firefox logo is developing
Because the first browser logo was launched in 2004, it remained almost the same except for some small changes to simplify the design. However, in 2019, Mozilla showed a new appearance to the public that displayed brand redesign. According to Mozilla, the logo change is to reflect the aspirations of software companies to offer more products and services, rather than just a browser.
Starting in 2018, the company mobilized the design team to focus on three Firefox themes: Fire, Fox, and Free. This relies on user feedback to guide the manufacturing process which usually does not occur when the business is in the process of changing their logo. Initially, people left comments on their blog complained about why the company could not leave such a logo. This feedback turned out to be very valuable in many ways when people show that one of the logos they plan to use is very similar to the competitor’s logo. According to Mary Ellen Muckerman, VP Mozilla about the brand and marketing strategy, “We get a very clear signal that we are not true -actually have to show foxes for people to know that it is Firefox.” And that’s how the new Firefox logo was born (through Firefox).
Today, the Firefox logo is abstract and does not look like a fox at all. The company’s logo family also has a gradient color system in an effort to make the brand more accessible to all its users. Although, users will find that the iconic fire fox is still alive in the Firefox Browser logo.
